Cobourg Gears Up For 3rd Annual Winter Festival
February 13th - 15th, 2010
The Cobourg Winter Festival is just the ticket to melt away those February blues...come celebrate Winter in Cobourg this February! The actual Winter Festival event runs February 13th - 15th with several local activites planned for the Feb. 15th Family Day and the much anticipated Savoury Celebrations restaurant campaign running Feb. 2 - 6.
The Cobourg Winter Festival is a town-wide festival spanning from Northumberland Mall to King Street, Rotary Harbourfront Park, Northumberland Hills Hopital to Lake Ontario. The whole town is involved and we're showcasing a wide variety of activities and attractions so there is something for everyone!
Many areas are free to the public to walk through, however, to gain access and to participate in many of the activities and shows, wristbands can be purchased in advance or during the festival for $5.00. Wristbands are available at: Dressler House, Victoria Hall, The DBIA Office, Northumberland Hills Hospital Gift Shop & Cortesis at Northumberland Mall (after 5pm).
The event will include: crystal clear ice sculptures, ice carving, wagon rides, Fort Cobourg Family Fun Zone and Harbourfront Zoo, featuring snow carving, outdoor skating, polar bear dip, dog sled demonstrations, games and interactive projects for the entire family, skating, Savoury Celebrations (restaurant promotion), shopping promotion and more.
