Cobourg has a vibrant arts community to explore with year-round concerts and festivals, and artisans such as painters and sculptors, work out of home studios to make the most of the quieter, small-town life. At the centre of town, the historic Victoria Hall Concert Hall is a popular venue for touring artists and musical theatre, catering to a variety of tastes. Local folk artist Angus Finnan has performed here, Northumberland Players produce popular musicals and Canadian country music star Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo has headlined the annual Sweet Water Country Music Festival.

Cobourg is also home to the award-winning La Jeunesse Youth Choir and Orchestra, which has competed with success on the international circuit. There are murder mystery dinner theatres in town and live jazz at restaurants for brunch.
