This festival is held every summer, usually on the first weekend in August. It is one of the most important festivals in Ontario since it celebrates Scottish culture and heritage.
The festival features bagpipes, dancing, competitions, artisans selling their wares and much more.

2. Strawberry Festival and Strawberry Queen Pageant

This is one of the main festivals at Cobourg that takes place every year during June. Visitors can participate in various activities such as visiting craft booths, strawberry treats, live entertainment and much more.

During the pageant, visitors can vote for their favourite princess! This gives everyone a chance to be a part of the festivities.

3. The Cobourg Blues Festival

As the name may suggest, the Blues festival connects people with a passion for blues music, food and art in a family-friendly environment. This festival helps to showcase the beauty of Cobourg.

4. The Cobourg Waterfront Festival

This festival has become a unique Cobourg attraction, bringing people from all over to enjoy a weekend filled with good music, fun activities and yummy food.

5. The Cobourg Cottage Festival

This is a yearly event that takes place on the first weekend in June. It offers live music, artists, local food and farmer’s market vendors, a parade and other family activities.

6. Canada Day

Canada Day is a federal holiday in Canada, occurring each year on July 1 that celebrates the anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution Act, 1867. This day is a great time to explore Canada’s diverse culture and geography.

The festival features live entertainment on two stages, a zoo, games, and other fun activities for both children and adults.

7. Christmas Magic

Christmas Magic Festival is a magical time for all ages to enjoy. Here you’ll find unique arts and crafts, hand-made gifts, delicious treats and fun! Children can meet Santa and his Elves, see the huge lighted Christmas Tree and visit the children’s craft area.

The magic comes from Santa who makes an appearance each night during the festival. Santa arrives on the fire truck to hand out treats and toys to children of all ages.
